Calligraphy on dó paper workshop in association with the Zó Project
Elements included are:
- Introduction to Asian and Vietnamese Calligraphy
- Introduction about Dó papers, pen, inkstone
- Watch how the teacher writes some of words such as: Peace, Happiness, Love
- Learn how to hold the brush and dot ink
- Learn to write basic strokes, lines, pressure, thick-thin lines and strokes
- Practice with sample characteristics
- Write your name
The workshop is given by a wonderfully inspiring and gentle calligraphy master
NB: this is a general introduction to how to make calligraphic strokes, hold the ‘pen’, pressures, shapes etc. (This is not a workshop on learning Chinese or Nom calligraphy)
