Hanoi city walk (English) – Bạch Mã temple and Old Quarter charm

Welcome to our stroll around some of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and the ’36 Streets’.
This is one version of our Bạch Mã temple walk (we have 2 slightly different versions of this walk – one route one turns right out of Bach Ma Temple while this walk today – the original one – turns left).
We discover why a white horse was instrumental in the building of the Thang Long citadel over 1,000 yrs ago, how today’s trade of Hàng Buồm street with its alcohol shops and bars is a far cry from its original activity, we visit a number of lesser known places of worship and a few ‘hidden’ alleys and one of Hanoi’s newest and most beautiful of art spaces.
