Cultural series: Creating a Vietnamese gin
May 30 @ 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
300,000VNDGin is a distilled alcoholic drink flavoured with juniper berries and other botanical ingredients. Its origins date from when it was used as a medicinal liquor made by monks and alchemists in Europe.
This event at the end our May programme celebrates the history of gin in general and in the Vietnamese context specifically. With Daniel Hoai Nguyễn of Sông Cái distillery we learn about the botanicals used and the relation with Vietnamese culture, the processes used, how the ingredients are sourced …. and hopefully a chance for a bit of gin tasting.
