Book club for June: The Quiet American, by Graham Greene

For this month let’s recreate the same atmosphere as when the Quiet American was written in the 1950’s. Meet in the Bamboo Bar at the Sofitel Metropole (where part of the book was written so this is a very appropriate venue). One can actually order a Graham Greene martini ?, and discuss the travails of the war and the political storm raging during that time. Graham Greene was named, “ A master of storytelling “ by The Times, and this is one of his best novels.
