Hanoi City Walk (English) – the trees of Quảng An ward, Tây Hồ – FULL
January 29, 2022 @ 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
100,00VNDBRAND NEW FVH WALKING ROUTE
THIS WALK IS NOW FULL. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITING LIST
Have you walked the streets and appreciated those flaming red petals against the grey asphalt? Or tripped over the roots of a tree while trying to slalom the pavements, but not knowing what to curse? Or just appreciated the shades of a wide green canopy with some green strings hanging out?
This walk takes you through the alleys of Quảng An, Tây Hồ around West Lake in search for some peculiar plants. We learn to recognise some common plants (trees and leaves in particular) that grow in the area and some of their functions in nature, why they may have been planted there, how the same species flourishes differently depending on the location. We link places to some legends of the lake and Hanoi … but please note that this tour will focus on trees, and not the history of West Lake.
The tour will take approximately 2.5 hours. Appr walking distance: 5km
Maximum: 7 people
