Hanoi City Walk (ENG) – Buildings and Barbers, a Battle and Burials. FULL

March 24, 2024 @ 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

100,000VND

24 March is the 15th day of the lunar month.  This walk is scheduled when its 1st or 15th of the lunar month as we need to go inside the last venue which is more likely to be open on one of these dates

THIS WALK IS FULL. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITING LIST, if you have signed up and are confirmed but need to cancel your space please let us know 1-2 days before the walk so we can give the space to someone on the waiting list.

Welcome to a new FVH Hanoi City walk and this is a long and more challenging lasting at least 3.5 hours up to 4 hours so lets regard this as a half day walk. We start at Kim Lien Temple on Xa Dan Street and end in Tay Son street (not far from the Novotel hotel). While planning this walk 4 themes emerged hence its name. We walk through a few khu tap te/old condominiums, we discover the origins of Hanoi’s street barbers, hear the stories of the liberation of the Thang Long Citadel in 1789 and end where houses are built side by side to an ancient mausoleum area.  And the only walk going over 3 pedestrian overpass bridges.

This walk is a little different to our others – its longer and we go into more detail of certain areas and there is a lot of info to take in but we think its worth it and is a particularly good walk for those who have been in Hanoi a long time.

Exact meeting and end points will be in the welcome email for those confirmed on the walk and please note they are not near each other

very max 8 people (definately no more than 8 people for this walk)
