Cultural series – the mysteries of Đạo Mẫu (Mother Goddess worship)
October 28 @ 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM250,000VND
Its been a while since we have had a presentation specifically about Đạo Mẫu – mother goddess worship. We often touch on it in our waking tours and other lectures but its been a few years since we have dedicated an event to this fascinating, highly complex, multi-layered belief system. With Trần Đoàn Lâm’s help (who is skilled at explaining intricate topics in an easy to understand way) we unravel the mysteries of this world of intangible heritage.
‘Mother Goddess Worship or Đạo Mẫu , which began in the 16th century in Vietnam, is the worship of the incarnation of nature goddesses. The practice of the belief in Mother Goddesses has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity’. (vietnamnet.vn)
