Test your senses of sight, taste and smell in this fun tea experience session we aim to hold 3-4 times a year on a Saturday morning. See how well you can work out the subtle differences in flavours and aromas. This is a great event to find out more detail about Vietnam’s tea traditions and a tea tasting experience.
To wet your appetite please enjoy this video that was made when some of the FVH committee visited a while ago. See video link here.
The focus is on the special ancient Shan Tuyet tea growing in north Vietnam.
- Why the tea culture is so important in Vietnam
- What makes Shan Tuyet tea different to other teas in VN
- The Shan Tuyet tea trees which are over hundreds of years old
- How the tea leaves are picked
- Traditional VN tea ceremony – detail about how one should sit, prepare and hold the tea making implements
