Pumpkins for Halloween
In 2023 we started to run some workshops with Huyen of Textile Linker fame. She teamed up with Thuy who founded Chie Dù Pù Dù Pà in Hang Trong street to run craft workshops. We try to run 1 workhop a month. We have now probably made all the products that are possible to make so we are repeating and rotating the workshops. Some products are fixed in the calendar like the pumpkins so each October we have a pumpkin workshop.
As Halloween is approaching we make a textile pumpkin using ethnic minority fabric/brocade. The pumpkin shell is pre-sewn with 1 side open. We fill the pumpkin body with cotton wool stuffing, sew it up and then follow the instructions for a great way to create the pumpin shape. Its one of the most fun Chie workshops as the pumpkin is created before our eyes and is so realistic and cute. For the more advance sewers if there is time you can embroider additional decorations. The workshop is for all abilities. And feel free to come again if you have already done this workshop – you can get a collection of pumpkins.
Amount: 390,000 VND per person (same price for everyone) per pumpkin includes erbal tea, green bean cake, instruction and materials
