In celebration of FVH’s 25th anniverary – we are delighted to confirm all the details for our talk and presentation with Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai, the author of The Mountains Sing.  This is the book that the bookclub reviewed earlier this month.  Danish musician Michael Moller wiill also join; he has composed many songs from the book and he is currently recording an album featuring these. With good fortune he is in Hanoi the same time as our event.

The evening is mix of Quế Mai reading extracts from the book (and maybe other books), and sharing her insight and thoughts, and Michael Moller will share some piano performances.

After event expenses proceeds will go to ‘Room to Reads’ for which Quế Mai is an ambassador.  She is currently working with them to build a library for a school in one of Vietnam’s remote provinces that was damaged by the recent floods.  Proceeds from our evening will go towards buying books for the library.

FVH extends a huge thanks to the Embassy of Switzerland as we are delighted to be able to hold the evening’s event at the Swiss Ambassadors residence in Dien Bien Phu street. Thank you so much
