Tea Talks (1): Tea – The Essence of Vietnamese Heritage in a Tiny Cup

Living in Vietnam we have all come to cherish arefreshing glass of cold tea on a scorching summer day – and countless cups of hot tea sipped from tiny cups, shared with our Vietnamese friends. From the big teapot full of leaves, so strong and almost bitter at first, but with this lingering, very surprising subtle sweetness.

Tea is not just a drink. It is a living history, and the very heart of this country. It’s the heritage of sharing time with friends, valuing friendships, open our hearts to the new. New countries we come to, new friends we make. Sharing what we treasure.

EPISODE 1 Tea Talks : with Từ Văn Tea Company

Join us in a new event workshop series, where we come together to discover the wide range of tastes of Vietnamese teas: White, Green, Black, Pu-Er and how they all benefit our body and soul differently.

Sample different teas, while hearing more about protecting and conserving the heritage of century-old tea trees in Hoàng Su Phì, Hà Giang Province, how to brew the tea, so that the best flavours are released, what flavours to distinguish and about how to change and evolve tea culture to adapt to modernity – without loosing identity.

For our new Tea Talk Series we partner with Từ Văn Tea Company, wishing to bring an authentic Vietnamese Tea experience to our members. Their teas come from Vietnam’s first protected area, handpicked by the Dao, H’mông and Nùng ethnic communities, artisanly crafted and internationally recognized by numerous prestigious awards, inculding  “Special Gold“ (China in 2019) and top honors at the “Golden Leaf Awards“ (organized by the Australian Tea Masters Association in 2025).

In this first workshop/talk we  taste several teas from Từ Văn Tea exploring what makes these teas, from their protected area, truly distinctive. We explore how tea is suitable for everyone and how it should be enjoyed regularly, as part of our daily life. Prepared the right way – for the best benefit of our health.
