Art workshop – silk painting

Nguyễn Cẩm Nhung graduated in Silk painting from the Fine Arts University and was taught by one of FVH’s lovely friends – artist Nguyễn Thế Sơn. Nhung is running a silk painting workshop for FVH in a great venue – Đình Nam Hương (Nam Huong communal house in Hàng Trống street).
After a short intorduciton on how Vietnamese silk painting developed, the difference between silk for painting and clothing, explnation on how to draw and paint on silk … we spend most of the 3 hours makng our own A4 silk painting based on either a Hang Trong or Dong Ho painting. It takes longer than you think so you will definatley neee all this time.
Cost includes the instruction, all materials and light refreshments (tea, biscuits)
Minimum number for this to take palce = 6 people
max 12 people. Deadline for registration is 2 June. Please note that this will be last time FVH will hold this workshop in this venue as the exhbition that the paitning workshop relates to comes down on 25 June. But we hope to be able to hold it at a later date in a different venue.
