Cultural and spiritual excursion (full day). Meritorious artist Nguyễn Mạnh Tuấn at đền Mẫu Linh Sơn Ngọc, Hòa Bình

Meet a mother goddess medium, cultural and heritage ambassador for the Muong ethnic, and understand more about the mother goddess belief and worship ceremony

A few years ago, towards the end of Covid, a few of the FVH committee were invited to participate in the filming of a QPVN TV (National Defense TV) programme focused on a number of topics including military history and the strength and spirit of the mother goddess worship ceremony. It was here we were privileged to meet meritorious artist Nguyễn Mạnh Tuấn at his home and spiritual place of worship đền Mẫu Linh Sơn Ngọc (Linh Sơn Ngọc mother goddess temple) in Lạc Thủy, Hòa Bình. We are proud to have kept the connection and have long wanted to arrange a special visit for FVH members to meet him. Tuấn is the head of the Muong ethnic cultural club, and head ‘priest’ of Linh Sơn Ngọc Mother Goddess Temple and a greatly sought after spiritual representative.

At the time of posting this event in the calendar, Tuấn currently has time to meet us on Sunday 17 May. Taking this opportunity, we are planning a trip to visit our meritorious dancer and spirit medium friend at his temple-home.

It really is a very special opportunity and will be a unique experience. Nguyễn Mạnh Tuấn will share his personal journey as a spirit medium, offering insight into his practice and presenting selected video clips that capture meaningful moments from his experiences associated with mother goddess worship. He comes from a family tradition of nearly 40 years and 4 generations of mediums serving mother goddess worship

The talk/presentation will be followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to explore his temple-home surrounded by the extraordinary hilly gardens he has created amidst the beautiful natural landscape of Hòa Bình.

Please note the following:

• If Nguyễn Mạnh Tuấn is requested to attend a national event or an important mother goddess ceremony we will reschedule; so everyone who signs up needs to be flexible with potential date changes (but hopefully everything remains OK for  17 May – currently the date looks good).
• It will take a few hours by mini bus each way to get to his home.
• We are all invited to share a light lunch with him, the cost of which will be included in the fee for this event. It is important we all participate in this  lunch.
• We cannot emphasize enough how privileged we, as FVH are, to be able to arrange this event.
• Tuấn only speaks VN so we will have ENG interpretation

Numbers: max 20 pax

Cost VND: to come – same for everyone as we need to cover the cost of the mini bus, lunch and donation to Tuấn (it could be in the region of up to 500,000 VND pp)
