Hanoi city walk (ENG) a.m: Bạch Mã temple & Old Quarter charm – FULL

January 25 @ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

100,000VND

THE WALK IS NOW FULL. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITING LIST

Welcome to our stroll around some of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and the ’36 Streets’.  This is one of a few versions of the FVH Bạch Mã temple walk (and one of our very first walking tour topics/route) where we discover why a white horse had a key role in the building of the Thăng Long Imperial citadel over 1,000 yrs ago, how today’s trade of Hàng Buồm street with its alcohol shops and bars is a far cry from its original activity, we visit a number of lesser known places of worship and a few ‘hidden’ alleys, ending at one of Hanoi’s newest and most beautiful of art spaces.

Half way through we have a stop for refreshments at a cafe in Hàng Chiếu street, which is also a chance to learn more about living in the old quarter and the structure of housing.

We start and end in Hàng Buồm.

Please RSVP to  Stella – stella@fvheritage.org

Numbers: max 8 people.
