Craft workshop – Herbal Dyeing workshop

NB – this workshop is not using indigo dye but other types of dyes and colours extracted different plants and herbs (the next indigo dyeing workshop will be in October)
The Indigo Store has long been a friend good friend of FVH – in fact it is also 20 years old this year – like us.
Duong Thi Thanh and her team at the Indigo Store preserve and restore the traditional culture of the Black Tay ethnic minority in Sapa, support about 120 producers across 7 different ethnic minorities in the production of organic plants, handmade textiles and employ disabled/deaf staff helping them have a sustainable livelihood etc.
For August we have a new dyeing workshop using 3 colors of dyes extracted from herbs. Thanh will give information on the herbs, how the dyes are extracted and we make a sample.
