Zó project is a social business which preserves, supports and expands Vietnamese traditional paper (dó paper) and its making technique in a sustainable and creative way.
The idea of setting up Zó project came from the passion of the founder, Trần Hồng Nhung. Zó is a young dynamic team wishing to bring back traditional values into modern society. In return, profits are ploughe back into the community of paper-makers to create more job opportunities and stable incomes for the ethnic minority village in the Northern province of Vietnam.
FVH teams up with the Zó project to regularly run small workshops for FVH members. You can also book direct but we have a discounted rate and the workshops are dedicated for us.
The list of activities we currently collaborate on using dó paper include:
- Calligraphy on dó paper
- Book binding
- Fan making
- Making bracelets
- Earring making
Workshops are held in the Zó project shop top floor, along Hanoi’s famous ‘railway street’ on the rail tracks -about 3.30pm a train will wiz past the shop.
