Hanoi City Walk (English) – Hòe Nhai street to Long Bien Bridge – FULL
THIS WALK IS FULL. PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE WAITING LIST. A walk that will take us from the Hang Dau water tower to Hòe Nhai street and Hoe Nhai Pagoda, along Hang Than taking a route to Long Bien rail station and Long Bien Bridge under the arches. Our walk starts outside number 5D Hàm Long street, where the first Communist Party Cell of Hanoi was established. Then along Lò Đúc Street to the Pasteur gardens, and outside the National Institute of Hygiene & Epidemiology (originally the Pasteur Institute). Back up Lò Đúc and to Nguyễn Công Trứ Street. Talk: at home with Vietnamese Composer Nguyễn Văn Quỳ
On 30 October 2018 FVH and UNIS Hanoi staged a very successful and moving evening where we paid tribute to Nguyễn Văn Quỳ’s sonatas, songs and poetry. Quỳ, nicknamed the Beethoven of Vietnam, while frail still retains a very sharp focused mind.
