On 30 October 2018 FVH and UNIS Hanoi staged a very successful and moving evening where we paid tribute to Nguyễn Văn Quỳ’s sonatas, songs and poetry.  Quỳ, nicknamed the Beethoven of Vietnam, while frail still retains a very sharp focused mind.  He loves meeting people especially those interested in music, French, his life, Vietnam, teaching etc. He has always said his 3 passions in life are Vietnam, teaching and music.
