Talk on VIETNAM ART UP TO THE YEAR 0: STONE, BRONZE AND CLAY The story of Vietnamese Art and Culture starts in the Stone Age. The defined cultures, including their material culture (objects) go back over 10,000 years. Dr. Mark Rapoport will introduce the material culture of the New-Stone-Age Phung Nguyen Culture (circa 4000 years ago), the Bronze-Age Dong Son culture (circa 2200 years ago) and the start of the Han-Viet period (about 100 AD). The Hope Choir is a group of blind singers and folk musicians. They are an amazing choir – not because they are blind/severely visually impaired but because quite simply they are superb artists.
