SUMMARY:The history of the Vietnam National Museum of History - tour - 4 spaces availalbe
DESCRIPTION:As of 22 March p.m max 4 spaces available – after which we will have a waiting list \nWe are really excited to start what we hope will be a great friendship with the National History Museum (the same as we have with the National Archives). \nThe museum runs many events for tourists and the general public which are more general and don’t go into the same depth that FVH events do.  But they are going to tailor some of their existing events for small groups for FVH members where they go into things in more detail…. .just for us. \nOur first event needs to be before the end of March when the vibrant red cây gạo (Bombax ceiba – the cotton tree)  trees in the museum grounds are still in flower. \nThe theme of this guided history tour focuses on the link between the communal house/pagoda structure and the museum building itself and its  environs\, so the content is focused and specific. \nInformation covers the architecture\, why the building was built where it was\, and its reflections of East meets West. Inside we visit a small temporary exhibition about the museum’s history and then 2-3 specific relics related to the Vietnamese village and communal house.  We also focus on the history behind the Dong Son drum and its iconic images \nBack outside we hear the story about the cotton tree and have a go at some traditional village games. \nWe expect this tour to last 2 hours (could be a bit more) and Dinh (our guide and member of the communications dept) will go into more detail than is normally given to the general public. \nThis 1st event is on a weekday afternoon and we apologise to those who can only make a weekend event but and we will run this again on a Saturday to give more people a chance. \nVenue – Vietnam National Museum of History\, 1 Trang Tien Street \n150\,000 to 200\,000 VND (the final price will depend on the number of people who sign up) \nmax 10 people \nplease RSVP to Stella – stella@fvheritage.org \nthe welcome note with more information will be sent to those who are confirmed \nthe tour is in English \nPlease follow and like us:Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...\n\n	Related\n
