SUMMARY:Music (evening): The Hope Choir: Christmas recital for the festive season and for peace
DESCRIPTION:Each year the Hope Choir holds a recital close to Christmas to celebrate the festive season.  Everyone is welcome to come along.  FVH has been an important supporter ever since Triem founded this very special amazing choir. \nTHE HOPE CHOIR. \nIf you have not heard The Hope Choir sing before you will undoubtedly be impressed.  If you already know them then they need no introduction.  They are a group of blind and severely visually impaired singers and folk musicians. They are amazing– not because of vision impairment but because they are superb singers.  The choir was formed about 20 years ago by pianist Tôn Thất Triêm and his opera singer wife Xuân Thành. What they achieved with minimal funds and little resource is incredible. \nTriêm teaches the choir the meaning of each word\, they transcribe the lyrics into braille\, and sing in the language of that song. \nSo\, lets join the choir and celebrate this Thursday evening 18 December. \nThey will perform a selection of songs\, carols and folk music. \nThere is no entry fee but the choir highly appreciates\, and needs\, donations no matter how big or how small. Every little bit is a great help to them as they rely soley on the community’s help. \nVenue:  77 Hào Nam\, Chợ Dừa\, Đống Đa\, Conservatory of music\, small concert hall.
