SUMMARY:Hanoi City Walk (English): a Christmas day afternoon walk – Đền Quán Thánh\, Trúc Bạch Lake\, Ngũ Xã - FULL
DESCRIPTION:THIS WALK IS FULL\, PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITING LIST \nThis walk has turned out to be a regular Christmas walk. \nThis time a Christmas Day afternoon stroll around the Truc Bach area. And as the afternoon light fades the atmosphere about Truc Bach should be lovely. \nPlease arrive by for 1.50pm eady to start at 2pm. Meet outside Đền Quán Thánh\, the almost purely Taoist temple with 350-year-old bronze statue of Trấ́́n Vũ. \nWhile the main theme of this walk is bronze casting\, we will also refer to legends around Trấn Vũ and Trúc Bạch lake – past and modern day stories\, some history of the area\, the part the young people played in Hanoi’s reconstruction after the French war\, and silk making in the old days.
