DESCRIPTION:“The moon at the bottom of the well” by Director Nguyễn Vinh Sơn. \n“The moon at the bottom of the well” was produced in 2008\, adapted from a short story of the same title. The film’s main character\, Ms. Hanh (played by Hong Anh) is a dutiful and dedicated wife who seems to be happily married to Phuong who is the head master of a school where she is also a teacher. He is a demanding husband and she is devoted. Unfortunately\, she was infertile\, she agrees that Phuong can father a child from another woman at the insistence of the mother in law. This causes a scandal when the school finds out. Later her marriage breaks down\, they divorce. She questions the fundamentals of life. In solitude\, she finds love in the other world\, the spiritual world and the dead. \nThe film was set in a small beautiful village in Hue and features lots of traditions. The film won the Silver Kite Award in the Vietnamese Film Festival 2008 and the main actress\, Ms. Hong Anh won the special actress prize in Dubai International Film Festival in 2008. \nIt is poetic and beautifully filmed. 121-minutes long with English subtitles. \nMinimum of 10 people needed for film night. \nLocation: TPD – The Centre for Development of Movie Talent\, 51 Tran Hung Dao\, Hanoi. \nRSVP to Van  phuongvan272@gmail.com \nNotes: \n\nYour reservation is not confirmed until you receive our reply email.\nPlease arrive by 7.15pm latest to collect and pay for your ticket at TPD.
