SUMMARY:Coffee Conversations series (a.m): EP1 'Roasted in Vietnam' - FULL
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITNG LIST. THANKS \nCOFFEE & CONVERSATION \nThe first episode in our new series exploring Vietnam’s coffee world. We aim to approach this subject packed in a different way to what is currently offered to those of us interested in coffee.  This series not about how to make egg or salted coffee but rather to approach the topic of coffee in a more conversational and interactive way.  We aim to have a specific topic and/or format for each episode at different cafes. \nEpisode 1 is a general overview\, sets the scene\, and is an intro to the different regions\, which will be explored in more detail in subsequent episodes. \n1 . Background Information\nWhen people think of countries with roasteries producing high-quality coffee\, Japan\, China\, Denmark\, or Australia often come to mind—places with a longer history in specialty coffee. In contrast\, Vietnam is often associated with commercial coffee\, known for its strong flavour profile that is not always seen in a positive light. Yet\, this perception overlooks the fact that Vietnam is home to roasteries that truly understand the beans and their environement\, and possess the skill to roast and brew coffee on par with foreign friends. \n2. Purpose of Ep1 of the coffee conversations series\nThrough coffee\, our host\, Ngọc offers more than just a tasting experience: this is a deeper look into the Vietnam’s cultural depth and transformation especially through this beverage. By showcasing products of local roasteries\, the richness of Vietnam’s terrain\, and the craft of modern brewing\, Ngọc aims to shift perceptions about Vietnamese coffee. \n3. Concept\nThe event is designed as a ‘coffee conversation’ and workshop—an intimate gathering where coffee is not only tasted but also experienced through chatting\, sharing conversation\, and storytelling. Inspired by the “Hành Trình Hương Vị” workshop series at Tươm cafe\, the concept emphasises a cosy atmosphere with friends. Engage directly with the coffee beans\, taste\, and listen to their stories. \nThe Coffee Conversations series brings the beans to life. \n4. Format\nNgọc will guide us through a tasting of 6–8 coffees\, brewed both hot and cold using pour-over methods. Each coffee will represent a brand\, a story\, and be from one of the 3 regions of Vietnam (north\, centre\, south) – showcasing the diversity of the coffee landscape. The tasting will be a mix of live brewing and conversation \n5. Core Value\nRoasted in Vietnam. Ep. 1 opens a cultural gateway into Vietnam’s contemporary craft through coffee. For the included brands\, it provides a chance to showcase the diversity of the coffee industry and production in Vietnam\, particularly for those areas one may be surprised is a coffee growing area. \nRSVP: stella@fvheritage.org \nNumbers: max 10 pax \nDonation: 250k VND pp to cover host fee and coffee tasting and snacks. additonal beverages are an additonal cost \nVenue: Tươm Project\, 1B Lê Phụng Hiểu\, near Hoan Kiem lake (full details and how to find the cafe will be sent to those confirmed on the event) \nPlease follow and like us:Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...\n\n	Related\n
