DESCRIPTION:For October 2019 we will be reading: \nLove Poems by Xuân Diệu\, a collection of translated poems on the theme of love composed by one of the most prolific and well-known poets of Vietnam.  \nThroughout his career\, Xuân Diệu\, one of the most outstanding representative of Thơ Mới Literary movement\, had been variously known as a “romantic poet”\, or “the greatest poet among the new poets”\, or “the king of love poems”. \n“With his language\, Xuân Diệu has built a space of his own in Vietnamese literature\,” said Vu Quan Phuong. “That means that by reading his poems\, people can imagine a space of love\, youth and vitality. His poems are bright\, innocent and vivid. People may say a picture is worth a thousand words.
