Each short story is given the name of an ethnic group of origin. \n“On the distant moon\, there lived a strong and handsome lad by the name of Con Ken. He could carry eight baskets of rice at one time\, he ploughed furrows as straight as a carpenter’s line\, and dredged ditches true as the woodman’s axe cuts. Ray Dinh had not yet spun a bobbin of thread when the moon reached its peak overhead. It was round like a dinner tray and shone brilliantly. At that time\, Con Ken had just caught a deer and was carrying it home. Ray Dinh sat quietly gazing at the sky.
