DESCRIPTION:THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITING LIST. THANKS \nWe run a number of art workshops with 2 young artists Linh and Nhung\, who graduated from the Fine Arts University 2-3 years ago. They are often creating new workshops that we love to try out.  This month’s workshop is painting mages from Hàng Trống folk paintings on dó paper. \nHàng Trống painting is a genre of traditional woodcut painting originating in Northern Vietnam in the 17th century\, associated with Hàng Trống and Hàng Non streets. The paintings were/are traditionally displayed on the family altar as well as hung on walls in homes typically at Tet/Lunar new year. They are regarded as a central element at this time of year.  The paintings combine traditional cultural values with ancient artistic methods.
