SUMMARY:Tết craft workshop – mini Tet calligraphy hangings - FULL
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITING LIST. THANKS \nThis is what we hope will be an annual event in the run up to Tet and the 2nd time we have held this workshop. \nThere are many symbolic and important practices in the run up to and during Tet. One of them are the Tet calligraphy hangings. \nAt this time of year people may want some particular characters\, in which their wishes and dreams for the new year are laid out – such as Phuc (Happiness)\, Loc (Wealth)\, Tho (to be long-lived)\, Duc (Virtue)\, Tri (Knowledge) or Tai (Talent). Those characters are then hung on walls like targets and reminders of them for people to strive in that year \nDuring this morning – we will learn the meanings and importance of specific words that are used on the calligraphy hangings and Loc\, the calligrapher\, will instruct in how to write in the style. We  make our our own calligraphy hangings – Lắng nghe mùa xuân về – to bring good wishes for the new year (to be hung e.g on kumquat trees and used as Tet decorations). \nCome and join for a cozy few hours workshop where we can also chat more about  the importance of calligraphy and calligraphy decorations  at Tet. \nThe venue is in Bup and Loc’s tea shop and calligraphy studio in  Cầu Giấy. We start with tea\, introduction and chat and then the workshop.  mo \nAdress: 44 Trần Quý Kiến str\, Cầu Giấy Dis. – its about 9km from Xuan Dieu area – please allow enough time for getting here \nWelcome email with meeting point will be sent to those confirmed on the workshop. \nVery max 10 spaces – there is no space for more so we will have  a waiting list if it becomes full. \nVND 390\,000 pp (same prices for adults and children). It’s a little more than our other craft workshops but includes Jasmine or Lotus tea\, donation to the bamboo frame craftsmen\, instruction from Loc and the chance to make many calligraphy hangings \nPlease follow and like us:Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...\n\n	Related\n
