SUMMARY:Hanoi City Walk (English): The road to the south - Lê Duản street and surrounding area - nearly full
DESCRIPTION:as of 16 March – 2 spaces available  \nJoin us for an afternoon stroll down Lê Duản street and the surrounding area. You may be surprised that a walking could be made out of this area and along Le Duan.  Starting at Cửa Nam we explore the history of the former south gate\, the nearby streets and stories of the area\, find out who was the ‘French Lady with the flared skirt\, where were parasols were traded\, which is one of Hanoi’s original Phở gà stalls\, what used to be where ‘Quan An Ngon’ is\, where was the Mandarin road\, what was originally on the site of Hanoi railway station\,  who was Lê Duản the man himself ..….. \nMost of what we talk about has sadly long gone but there are some interesting stories which bring it alive together with  memories\, and photos of what hopefully will be an eclectic whistle-stop tour through history of the Lê Duản area.  Shortly into the start of the walk have a short stop at a near by cafe for those who would like some refreshments while we learn about this cafe’s claim to fame. \nStarting point: Chợ Cửa Nam\, ending at Tran Hung Dao opposite Hanoi railway station \nRSVP:  Stella \nVery max 8 spaces available  \nPlease follow and like us:Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
