PLEASE ASO SIGN UP FOR THE WAITING LIST AND WE CAN ALSO SCHEDLUE ANOTHER CHANCE FOR THIS WALK TOO \nFVH is taking part in  the Vietnam Festival of Creativity & Design  (VFCD): Hanoi 2021\nHanoi: “Culture and Creativity” \nActivity: city walk – this walk is run 3 times as part of the festival \nA short distance as the crow flies. But we take the long way round zig zagging up and down the streets in this area from Đinh Liệt  and Hang Bac to Cầu Gỗ and Nguyễn Hữu Huân streets.  We touch on many subjects from the birth of silver making in Hanoi and how Hong Kong cinema came to share space with Cải Lương folk opera\,  to the combination of  ice cream and revolution\, and the endless fascination with cafes. \nPlease RSVP by email to stella@fvheritage.org \nas of 30 Oct  – 4 spaces available (then we will have a waiting list) \nPlease note at this changeable period due to COVID-19 that events are subject to government and local authority advice plus the agreement with our hosts; some events may need to be postponed at the last minute; we hope this won’t happen\, but we will keep you updated.  If you have any questions\, please contact us at hello@fvheritage.org. DESCRIPTION:FVH is taking part in  the Vietnam Festival of Creativity & Design  (VFCD): Hanoi 2021\nHanoi: “Culture and Creativity” \nActivity: city walk \nTràng Tiền and surrounding roads such as Hàng Bài\, Bà Triệu\, Hàng Khay etc. are familiar to most of us. As we stroll these streets we will touch on the area’s development from the early days of Hanoi through the French period to the present time\, hear some of its eclectic stories and history\, notes on theatre and the cinema and the former ‘lives’ of some familiar and not so familiar buildings.  Hopefully you will discover things you didn’t know about these well-known streets and buildings. \nOur simple but detailed route will take us from the steps of the Opera House\, down Tràng Tiền towards Hoàn Kiếm lake\, into Hàng Bài\, towards Hàm Long and back up to Bà Triệu and Hàng Khay with a few interesting hidden diversions on the way. \nTHIS WALK IS FULL – AS IT IS PART OF VFCD AND WAS BOOKED UP THROUGH THE VFCD COMMUNITY \nPlease note at this changeable period due to COVID-19 that events are subject to government and local authority advice plus the agreement with our hosts; some events may need to be postponed at the last minute; we hope this won’t happen\, but we will keep you updated.  If you have any questions\, please contact us at hello@fvheritage.org.
