DESCRIPTION:This tour is full. Please RSVP for the waiting list (incase spaces become available) \nfascinating look behind the scenes at the State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam Centre no. 1 which holds pre-1945 documents\, with a major concentration from the Nguyen Dynasty 1802-1945 and the French Colonial period. As the period is pre-1945 the archives also holds documents long before Nguyen Dynasty\, the oldest document dates from the 15th century in 1488. \nThe Director and some of her team will take us on a fascinating behind the scenes tour. See how paper documents\, film\, audio and photos are catalogued and stored. The tour includes learning about the Royal approval on official documents of the Nguyen Dynasty (Châu bản triều Nguyễn) and how old documents are restored and preserved.
