THANKS \nFVH is delighted to have the chance to collaborate with the State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam. In the future we plan to hold lectures/seminars on specific topics. We start our association with a unique and inspiring look at the Archives Centre no. 3 which holds post-1945 to present day records. \nWe meet the Director and some of her team who will take us on a fascinating behind the scenes tour. See how paper documents\, film\, audio\, photos and personal items are catalogued and stored. Look at and possibly hold precious original documents signed by people such as Hồ Chí Minh’and General Võ Nguyên Giáp– items like these are national treasures. We learn about the rules of archiving and the future plans the archives. It really is a unique and quite moving experience and FVH is honoured that the Director has agreed to offer this tour for us. \nThe State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam is a very active department which holds and manages many events and exhibitions throughout Vietnam. \nNote:  \nHanoi: Archives Centre no.1 holds Colonial records (pre-1945) \nSaigon: Archives Centre no.2 holds Republic of Vietnam records. \nHanoi: Archives Centre no.3 holds Post-1945 records of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam \nToday’s tour is at Centre 3.
