SUMMARY:Tết craft workshop (a.m session) – mini Tet calligraphy hangings - FULL
DESCRIPTION:THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL.  AS THIS IS LIKELY BE  POPULAR IT IS REPEATED AFTERNOON SAME DAY SUNDAY 12 JANUARY  \nThis is now the 3rd year we have held this fun Tet calligraphy workshop. \nThere are many symbolic and important practices in the run up to and during Tet. One of them are the Tet calligraphy hangings. \nAt this time of year people may want some particular characters\, in which their wishes and dreams for the new year are laid out – such as phúc(Happiness)\, lộc phát (fortune)\, lộc (wealth)\, thọ (longevity)\, Đức (Virtue) and so on…. which is what people strive to achieve in the coming year. \nDuring this morning – we will learn the meanings and importance of specific words that are used on the calligraphy hangings.  Master calligrapher Lộc will instruct in how to write in the calligraphic style. We  write our own minature  calligraphy hangings\, which are known as Lắng nghe mùa xuân về – to bring good wishes for the new year (to be hung e.g on kumquat trees and used as Tet decorations). \nCome and join for a cozy few hours workshop where we can also chat more about  the importance of calligraphy and calligraphy decorations  at Tet. \nThe venue is in Bup and Lộc’ home and calligraphy studio in  Cầu Giấy. We start with tea/short tea ceremony and its appreciation before moving onto Tet and callligaraphy. \nAddress: the studio is inTrần Quý Kiến str\, Cầu Giấy – please allow enough time for getting here – we meet in a cafe nearby and when everyone has arrived we walk round to the studio together. Those confirmed on the workshop will be sent a welome email a few days before. \nNumbers. Very max 12 spaces \nAmount VND 390\,000 pp (same prices for adults and children).
