SUMMARY:Talk: at home with Vietnamese Composer Nguyễn Văn Quỳ
DESCRIPTION:On 30 October 2018 FVH and UNIS Hanoi staged a very successful and moving evening where we paid tribute to Nguyễn Văn Quỳ’s sonatas\, songs and poetry.  Quỳ\, nicknamed the Beethoven of Vietnam\, while frail still retains a very sharp focused mind.  He loves meeting people especially those interested in music\, French\, his life\, Vietnam\, teaching etc. He has always said his 3 passions in life are Vietnam\, teaching and music. \nWe decided it would be meaningful and fun for small groups of FVH members to visit him at his home (in the Old Quarter).  This is your chance to talk to the Maestro\, listen to his memories\, his love of music and see society through the eyes of this 94 yr old composer.
