THANKS \nSpecial Exhibition Tour 26 April 2024 \nA number of you may already have been to this exhibition but if you have not had a chance yet we are excited FVH is able to hold a private guided tour this Friday 26 April before the exhibition closes as the end of the the month. \nBefore many of you will leave for the long weekend holiday\, come and get a glimpse of what travelling in Vietnam was like a 100 years ago by joining our guided tour of the Special Exhibition (18/4 – 30/4). It showcases Vietnam in  1930’s and 1940’s through than 50 photos and documents by female Ukrainian traveller\, photographer\, videographer and writer Sofia Yablonska (1907-1971).  In 1927 at 20 years old and very much the adventurer she left Ukraine to go travelling.   She captured vivid scenes of rural life in Vietnam with endless fields and hard-working people\, the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay\,  Thang Long Imperial Citadel\, Long Bien Bridge\, and Hoan Kiem Lake to name but a few. \nWe are delighted that Katia Chan of the Ukrainian Embassy will be our guide for this private  guided tour. \nThe exhibition was created in collaboration between Vietnamese Women’s Museum and the Ukrainian Embassy to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Vietnam. In motion picture\, as well as 55 photographs the Vietnam of almost 100 years ago is shown through the loving lens of this Western artist who fell so much in love with Vietnam and the people that she moved here with her family\, making it her home for many years and even raised her son here. \nPlease RSVP to stella@fvheritage.org \nSpaces max 10 people \nMeeting point: courtyard of the Vietnamese Women’s Museum\, 36 Lý Thường Kiệt street.
