SUMMARY:Music nights - Summer sonatas for the violin and piano Pensant a Toi
DESCRIPTION:Summer Sonatas for the violin and piano \nINTRODUCTION\nOn 10\, 11 and 12 June (8pm-10pm) FVH teams up with SiaM (Schubert in a Mug – musicians)\, supported by L’art pour L’art\, to bring you ‘Pensant à Toi’ – a series of three concerts.  Held over three consecutive evenings\, we showcase six of Vietnamese composer Nguyễn Văn Quỳ’s sonatas. \nTHE MUSICIANS\nSiaM\, which stands for Schubert in a Mug\, is a  group of extremely talented young Vietnamese musicians. Their monthly performances sell out  quickly.  They bring the beauty of classical music to audiences in a warm and personal way combining music with  conversation and  discussion. \nCheck out SiaM’s FB page here \nAnd their save the date for these concerts \nHere is a  lovely teaser video made by SiaM showing the musicians practicing \nVENUE\nThe Cultural Exchange Center (Trung tâm Giao lưu văn hóa phố cổ Hà nội) \n3rd floor 50 Đào Duy Từ Street\, Hanoi https://goo.gl/maps/vGRfU6ogyk7ZvzUr5 \nTICKETING\nUnlike other FVH events and joint projects\, tickets need to be purchased in advance via SiaM.  They can also be bought on the night depending on  availability. \nPriced at 300\,000 VND pp person and 250\,000 VND  (for students) per concert. Money goes towards venue and grand piano hire and musician fees; we hope after event  expenses are deducted some money can  go towards cancer patients and orphans – 2 causes that were close to Quỳ’s heart. \nTicket price includes a small exhibition and short 10 minute documentary film on Quỳ\, concert (sonatas) with discussion\, and soft drinks.
