SUMMARY:Hanoi city walk (English) a.m: Nguyễn Công Trứ Street and surrounding area - waiting list
DESCRIPTION:THIS WALK IS NOW FULL. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITING LIST IN CASE SPACES BECOME AVAILBLE THANKS.  \nOur exploration starts outside number 5D Hàm Long street\, where the first Communist Party Cell of Hanoi was established. Then along Lò Đúc Street to the Pasteur gardens\, and outside the National Institute of Hygiene & Epidemiology (originally the Pasteur Institute). Back up Lò Đúc and to Nguyễn Công Trứ Street.  Carry on to Hai Bà Trưng Lake and the temple complex opposite where we touch on the Hai Bà Trưng sisters’ era and their contribution to Vietnamese history (we do not go inside). For the final part of the walk we will meander the lanes and alleys of amazing Cho Giời (sky market/Hoa Binh market)\, one of Hanoi’s huge and intriguing city markets specialised in one genre of goods. We end the walk where the market meets Phố Huế. \nThis eclectic walk touches on a number of influences that shaped Hanoi’s life. From the communist party to medical Hanoi\, from the Indochinese architectural style to the alcohol industry\, from the Hai Bà Trưng sisters and worship to the best market where you can find every possible type of  DIY  tools and spare car parts. \nThe walk lasts from 2hrs 45 mins to 3hrs (arrive 9am\, starting walk 9.15am) \nNumbers: very max 8 people \nRSVP: to stella@fvheritage.org \nThose confirmed on the walk will receive the welcome email a few days before the walk.
