DESCRIPTION:THIS TOUR IS NOW FULL. PLEASE RSVP TO VAN FOR THE WAITING LIST \nA very special new walking tour. \nNguyễn Thế Sơn (public art artist\, researcher\, former art lecturer at the Fine Arts university) has curated a fascinating exhibition based on the art heritage of a number of communal houses in the Old Quarter.   On display in 6 communal houses (Đình) are works of art that reflect the story and heritage of the chosen communal houses. This is done through a number of ways including artworks using the medium of the handicraft/art that is associated with the particular communal house\, or paintings and installation art that depict heritage of the particular communal house. \nTheir stories are told through art. Our guide is our wonderful friend Nguyễn Thế Sơn.  The format is a walking tour going from communal house to communal house. \nStarting at Đình Hà Vỹ in Hàng Hòm we walk through the streets and alleys to also visit Đình Phả Trúc Lâm\, Đình Yên Thái\, Đình Tú Thị\, Đình Trung Yên\, and Đình Nam Hương in the Old Quarter and down to Hàng Trống. \nPlease RSVP to Van at phuongvan272@gmail.com \nVery max 10 people (after which we will have a waiting list and we hope to be able to run this walk again before the exhibitions come down in a few month’s time.) \nFor those who are confirmed please dress respectfully – cover shoulders\, no short outfits. \n200\,000 VND which includes a donation to Sơn for sharing his knowledge and giving up his time to lead this art walk. \n  \n  \n©1999 Friends of Vietnam Heritage.
