SUMMARY:Christmas Film Night - Vê Quê An Têt (Going Home for Tet)
DESCRIPTION:“Vê Quê An Têt” (Going home for Tet) by Director Nguyen Hoang Anh \nThe film tells the story of a young driver\, played by Jun Pham who faces problems on his trip to return home before Tet.  It is also about a group of passengers on a bus from Saigon to Cau Mau heading home for the big holiday.    This gentle cheerful comedy is about serious issues like love and life. \nIt was produced by Studio 68 with the participation of famous Vietnamese actress/producer – Ngo Thanh Van (also producer/actress of “The Tailor”) and young singer Jun Pham with the characters quite new compared to their previous experiences. \nTet\, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year is a chance for people to relax after a year of studying and working hard.  Although it is a short holiday it is a very important time for family reunions.  However\, not everyone is lucky enough to be with their family to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new. \n“The movie could help the audience understand that at every Tet holiday\, it is difficult for lots of people to come back home for family reunions. Though it may be affordable\, it is still not certain that they are able to go home” – actress Ngo Thanh Van explained. \nIn addition to the story of the road trip the film portrays different elements of life and features some beautiful landscape of the Western region\, thereby creating an overall picture of “reunion” where the love of the family and the homeland are gently mixed. \nMinimum of 10 people needed for film night. \nFilm is 80-minute long with English subtitles. \nLocation: TPD – The Centre for Development of Movie Talent\, 51 Tran Hung Dao\, Hanoi. \nRSVP to Van  phuongvan272@gmail.com \nNotes: \n\nYour reservation is not confirmed until you receive our reply email.\nPlease arrive by 7.15pm latest to collect and pay for your ticket at TPD.
