For those who don’t know TPD:”The Centre for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents was established under the Decision 236/HĐA signed by Mr. Tran Luân Kim\, Secretary General of Vietnam Cinema Association on 15 August 2002\, with the purpose of designing and implementing programs to assist and develop film talents and other activities for the development of Vietnam cinema”. \nThe documentary film “Camouflage” by Director Bestor Cram \n“Camouflage” is a documentary film directed by Bestor Cram and produced by David Thomas. The film shares the stories of multiple generations of Vietnamese painters who discuss their work as a revelation of sacrifice and courage. Their stories are sometimes heroic with strong determination and passion to pursue the art study and career\, and sometimes also personally painful with different challenges. Within the backdrop of modern Vietnam a little known view of the aftermath of America’s war emerges showing what has been concealed\, what has been hidden\, what has been camouflaged. \nProduced in 2017\, “Camouflage” has been introduced in the Woods Hole Film Festival\, an annual film festival in the US to showcase the work of independent film makers. The movie was directed by Bestor Cram\, Executive Director of Northen Light Production\, an organization in Boston US with acclaimed award winning media projects\, and produced by David Thomas who contributed significant efforts to develop the cultural exchange project between Vietnam & the US to empower lots of Vietnamese artists as fellows to visit study in the United States so far. \nThis amazingly moving\, informative and artistic film is 76-minute long with English subtitles. \nWe may have one of the artists attend for an introduction and Q&A \n Location: TPD – The Centre for Development of Movie Talent\, top floor\, 51 Tran Hung Dao (behind the white villa) \n Notes: \n Your reservation is not confirmed until you receive our reply email. \nPlease arrive by 7.15pm latest to collect and pay for your ticket at TPD.
