SUMMARY:Craft workshop – Kirigami. Paper Cutting
DESCRIPTION:FVH event part of  the Vietnam Festival of Media & Design : Hanoi 2019 \n“CELEBRATING THE CREATIVE CITY” \nActivity: traditional craft workshop \nIf you love paper and making your own decorative items from paper\, then you will love this workshop. Over the 2.5 hours\, you will be able to create some lovely cut paper images and designs using basic Kirigami techniques. These are mostly based symmetrical designs\, for your personal interest or home decoration. \nThe instructor will guide you in your artwork step-by-step and explain the correct way to cut and plan the design. \nNote: \n– Kirigami is the Japanese art of paper cutting\, originated from Origami\, which is favoured by many people around the world. Kirigami is based on paper cutting\, rather than just folding and utilizes different techniques. \n–  The teacher is an elderly retired maths teacher and very talented self-taught artist\, skilled in the art of paper cutting . He will instruct in Vietnamese with English translation. \n– Participants are provided with coloured papers and scissors. Please bring your own pens or pencils. If you have attended a previous workshop please bring your green handled scissors with you \n– We welcome you from 1.45 pm. There is time for you to order drinks\, receive provided tools & materials.
