SUMMARY:Art installation tour/walk – Phúc Tân public art project - FULL
DESCRIPTION:(start time may change to 6pm as dusk is arriving earlier) \nTHIS TOUR IS NOW FULL.  We now have a waiting list. This is a regular event and those on the waiting list will take priority for the next tour. Please sign up for the waiting list  \nNow a regular event for FVH with Nguyễn Thế Sơn who takes us on an evening tour of the 16 inspirational public artworks in Phúc Tân ward between Long Biên and Chương Dương Bridges.  The artists helped transform an area once seen as the back of a city. \nPhúc Tân public art Project was initiated by the People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem district in summer 2019 and completed this year at Tet. \nThe Phúc Tân area near the Red River was originally an overlooked and discarded area until Sơn and his team arrived. They inspired the local families to be proud of their environment and brought them on board with the art project. The artists have created a public art installation on what remains of the flood wall.  The artworks use recycled materials\, and other items and ideas which tie the area into the Red River and Long Bien Bridge\, incorporating its history from ancient and French times to the present day. \nArtists featured in Phuc Tan public art project: Nguyễn Thế Sơn (curator)\, Cấn Văn n\, Phạm Khắc Quang\, George Burchett\, Vương Văn Thạo\, Trịnh Minh Tiến\, Lê Đăng Ninh\, Nguyễn Hoài Giang\, Nguyễn Trần Ưu Đàm\, Nguyễn Xuân Lam\, Nguyễn Ngọc Lâm\, Diego Cortiza\, Trần Hậu Yên Thế\, Vũ Xuân Đông\, Nguyễn Đức Phương\, Trần Tuấn. \nThe area is open to the public and one can visit the art works any time but its truly special at night and led by the project’s founder Sơn\, so FVH is very lucky. \n200\,000 vnd pp (one price for adults\, children and students as the majority of money will be added to the funds of the Phúc Tân artists who currently self-fund + via sponsorship) \nThe tour will be led by Sơn in English.
