SUMMARY:Art/craft: Dó paper and dried flowers bookmark making and mini tea ceremony
DESCRIPTION:(this is moved from the orginal date of 11 Oct to 18 Oct in order to fit in a Hope Choir recital on 11 Oct) \nOur 2nd lovely relaxing afternoon with a Zó project  workshop in a peaceful tea shop making a selection of bookmarks \nThe Zó project is a social enterprise set up to preserve and support the production of Vietnamese traditional paper (dó paper) and its making technique in a sustainable and creative way.  It was founded by Trần Hồng Nhung and her young dynamic team wishes to bring back traditional values into modern society. In return\, profits are ploughed back into the community of paper-makers to create more job opportunities and stable incomes for the ethnic minority village in Hoa Binh. \nSince Covid 19 Zó Project had to downsize and readjust and is operating more on line but they have a stall in Syrena Shopping centre Xuan Dieu and they still run workshops. \nThis month’s Zó Project workshop is a version of that held in July.  In July we  made an A4 dried flower collage on  dó paper which sounds easier than it was.  \nVenue – Quán Trà Vô Vi tea house in Ba Dinh;\nMini tea ceremony and explanation from Giang\, tea shop owner;\nIntroduction to dó paper and how it is made;\nMake our own dó paper bookmarks (4 to 5 types) decorated with dried flowers and plants. \nIt really is a lovely relaxing afternoon where you an immerse yourself in tea\, paper and creativity and forget about all your worries for an afternoon. \nMax no of participants: 10 \nDiscounted for FVH members 350\,000 vnd pp (price the same for adults\, students and children as this is a direct cost to Zó) – covers mini tea ceremony and the tea\, material for making our bookmarks and donation for the Hoa Binh paper making families. Other drinks at the tea shop are an additional personal cost \nRSVP to Stella \nWelcome email and meeting instructions will be sent to those who RSVP \nThe list of activities we currently collaborate on using dó paper include: \n\nCalligraphy on dó paper\nBook binding\nFan making\nMaking bracelets\nEarring making\nLampshade making\nA4 dried flowers collage\n\nSee here examples of our collage workshop from July \n  \nPlease follow and like us:Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...\n\n	Related\n
