SUMMARY:Art and craft workshop (a.m): Dó paper lanterns for mid-autumn festival - 2 soaces
DESCRIPTION:AS OF 15 SEPT MAX 2 SPACES AVAILABLE.  \nLANTERNS FOR MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL (morning/afternoon workshops) \nEach year on the 15th day of the 8th month (this year in the solar calendar its 6 October) Vietnam celebrates the mid-autumn festival – Tết Trung Thu; hence\, in preparation\, some of our September events have a mid-autumn festival theme and flavour. \nThis is 1 of 2 lantern workshops we will do this month (the 2nd one is part of an excursion and is very traditional). \nLanterns\, as you may or may not know\, are essential features of this occasion. \nThey come in all different colours\, shapes\, sizes and material. \nSo we thought this is the ideal time to make our own lanterns with our Dó paper workshop partner\, Cham do. Its an intricate workshop that needs time hence this is a 3 hour workshop run with 2 sessions as its max 6 people per worskhop. \nHere is a video – our workshop will be based on this but also a bit different as the main material used is dó paper see  youtube link. \nIncluded in the workshop \n\nAll material and instruction\nAnd a short talk on do paper (for those who are not familiar with this material)\nAnd your lovely lantern to take home (which hopefully looks like the one in the video)\n\nAs this is a lot more intricate to make and bigger than the other items we run craft workshops for\, more time and material are needed hence a higher workshop fee compared to others but it will be worth it.
