SUMMARY:Craft workshop - Dó paper notebooks
DESCRIPTION:AS OF TUES 4 APRIL 4 SPACES AVAILABLE \nA relaxing creative Sunday morning  making  some small  dó paper  notebooks. \nWe partner with Hong Ky who helps support the paper-making communities in Hoa Binh creating job opportunities and stable incomes for the paper making ethnic minority families in the province . \nThis type of paper first appeared in the 18th century in Vietnam and has been used widely in Vietnamese folk art\, especially in Dong Ho paintings. \n\nWhat is dó paper and how is it made?\nIntroduction to the tools and materials used for booking making and the different ways to bind the books\nWe make our own notebooks\nFeel free to bring you own decorate items to beautify your creations\n\n \nOther dó paper workshops we run include: \n\nCalligraphy on dó paper\nBook binding\nFan making\nMaking bracelets\nEarring making\nLampshade making\ndried flower art on do paper\nChristmas and Tet decorations\n\nDuration:  appx 2 hours \nvenue:  Vui Studio cafe  on Tống Duy Tân\, not far from ‘train street;’ off Hang Bong \nMax participants: 10 spaces (min 5 needed for the workshop to take place) \n350\,000 vnd pp (same price for everyone – it is a direct cost) .
