SUMMARY:People of the Old Quarter. Meet Nghia - coffee and American War artefacts - FULL
DESCRIPTION:AS OF FRIDAY 17 MARCH THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WAITING LIST \nMeet Nghia who runs an interesting cafe in the heart of the Old Quarter. In particular he loves making egg coffee. But this is not the focus of this event. \nThis is one of our ‘show and tell’/at home/cafe chats with a real Old Quarter local. Nghia has lived and worked in Lan Ong street all his life\, he is now about 58 years old. And he recently opened a new cafe which he has turned into  his own mini private museum of discarded\, lost and found and donated items from the American War.  99% of his collection relates to equipment\, and personal items from the American army\,  air force and navy from the war. He has a special talent for fixing what seems unfixable and has many interesting stories to tell about what he has amassed.  American vets have been to visit him and write their memories and comments in his visitor book. \nThis event is a mixture of sitting drinking coffee and chatting to Nghia about living his life in the Old Quarter and finding out more about his collection. \nWe will give the cafe address to those who successfully sign up as we want it to be a surprise when you visit. But its in the Lan Ong street area. \nNghia only speaks VN so his nephew Long will translate into English. \nmax 10 people. \n150\,000 VND and drinks are an additional personal cost \nPlease rsvp to Stella – stella@fvheritage.org \n  \nPlease follow and like us:Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...\n\n	Related\n
